She books before the others have thought about playing. She opens a WhatsApp group for every question, including whether a group is needed. An investigation into an organizer like no other.
On Tuesdays at 7 pm, court 3 is taken. It has been, in fact, for fifteen days, on the club's app, in Marta's name. The rest of the group has no idea how she does it. Some mention an alarm on her phone. Others, an arrangement with reception. Marta simply says: "Somebody has to."
The group currently runs seven separate WhatsApp conversations: "Tuesday padel", "Tuesday padel (without Luis, surprise)", "Dinner after", "Javi's present", "Time poll", "Time poll 2" and one group whose exact purpose is unknown, but which nobody dares to leave.
Experts agree on one thing: without that weekly message, Tuesday Padel would never have made it past March. Sometimes the replies are slow. Marta follows up. The replies come.
She says it's nothing to do with her, that the group runs itself. The group wanted to throw a dinner to thank her. Marta booked it.
